Choosing Learning Topic

The topic that I'm choosing to work on is Healthy Food Choices in my community .  The reason that I choose this topic is because my community has problems choosing the right healthy food choices especially wit fast food restaurant . Fast food restaurant are all over my community there even right next to each other at times and they just keep building more and more closer to people so that everyone can keep eating unhealthy . Same thing goes with some food markets and stores there just stocking there shelf's with junk food instead of getting healthy things for the people in the community .Also another problem is that in food markets the healthier food is more expensive and the food that less healthy is cheaper and in result of that people who cant afford the healthy food go for the unhealthy food . That's why alot people always buy food from fast food restaurants because is cheap to buy and fast to get . And making a healthy choices is important because you always want to stay fit and healthy so that you wont get obese and turn out to have diabetes .

Play To Learn

By playing these 3D games I learned alot new things that are really interesting . I learned that you can do way more tings than you could when making a 2D game , you are more free to walk around and look at the whole setting that your playing in . Another thing that I learned from the playing the 3D games is that the graphics are way better things look a bit more realistic than they did in flash and the objects actually pop out and are not just flat like they used to be . But one thing that I do have to admitt is that playing the 2D game was more enjoyable to play and have fun in it . The reasons why is because the 2D game of Malaria was more like smooth and wasnt glitchy as much as the 3D game was . The 3D game was really laggy sometimes and it wasn't smooth to play so I like the 2D version of Malaria better . I got a lot of good ideas for my game by playing these 3D games espacially for the game ingrediants because there different now and better . The game ingrediants that I would put on my game that got from playing these games would be Add Terrain Plants and Rocks,Skyboxes,Import Pre-made Objects . Because have a sky and and having plant ,rocks,water in your game would make the setting more realistic and also adding objoects that are already made help you out on creating your game and making it look good . Thats why I would have these 3 ingrediants in my  game .

Course Overview

This year I'm really excited to start making new game in Globaloria because it's not on flash anymore it's one this new program called Unity .  Unity is nothing like flash because Unity lets you create 3D games like the games that I play at home or on the computer .  Not only do students use this program but also professionals use it to make really good games that are sold on the market . Therefore I am really excited to get started on working on this program knowing that maybe I can make a game like the professionals . That's what I'm really exited about in this year course of globaloria and I cant wait to get started .

Where To Get Help

There are alot of ways that you can get help if your stuck on doing something or if your code isn't working . All you have to do is your having trouble is go to the Help Center and there's all type of categories that can help you like Blog help,Flash Help,Animation help and many more .So if one of my classmates need help than I'll show them what I did to make it work , or I can take them to help center for more help . And if I need help from one of them than I would ask how they did that and where they got the help from and then they can tell me what exactly what to do .

I'm Luis and I'm in 10th grade at East Austin College Prep . I like to play video games when I'm not at school and my favorite sport is football . When I graduate from high school I would like to attend the University Of Texas or Baylor University and I'm still undecided on what I want to go and study for . And I will use my blog to help other understand my work on globaloria by writing what my assignment was about and how I did it and what I did to complete my work . For example if someone doesn't understand how I did something on my wiki , or how I did something on my game all they have to do is go to my blog and I'll explain how i did it so that they could understand a bit more . That's how I'll help someone understand my work on globaloria and if they are having trouble doing something it will help too .
